We are currently looking for Polynesian dancers and party assistants. You must be at least 14 years old, must agree to a background and reference check, if age 18 and over must sign a 3 year do not compete agreement, and work by contract versus salaried or on payroll.
 
We are looking for people who have an interest in learning and performing authentic hula and Tahitian dancing. We perform and supervise guests at various functions from complimentary community service events to small parties and luaus to large events throughout the Hampton Roads area and travel on occasion.
 
Opportunity for payment depending on event and based on experience.

Background in Polynesian dance is very helpful, but not required. You must love to dance and love to perform in front of an audience. If you are interested, please contact me with your resume, information on your dance experience, days and times you are available, video(s) of your dancing on video (YouTube, etc.), and any references. This is not exotic dancing so please be family-friendly.

Criteria:

  • Must be physically fit or in the process ;] We do not dance in coconut bras. We usually wear tank tops of the same color, modest bikini tops, and/or similar wear.
  • Must be professional, responsible, and be able to communicate well (of course,. this does not refer to children ;] ). Dancers will be representing the group and studio and must be dedicated.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Must be committed to training and development.
  • Available to practice on a regular basis in Denbigh at the Beechmont Clubhouse and perform at various events
